Okay, I know it is the day before but I wanted to make sure I post this! Tomorrow is also my birthday so I'll be extra busy between that and Trick or Treating with my 5 minions! Right now, I've got one of my older short story collections available for FREE on Amazon. It's one of my older collections but there is a chance you haven't read it, so I invite you to! Happy Halloween from me to you!
Back in the Fall of 2013, I published my first collection of short stories to the applaud of a small handful of people. I was an unknown, one of many hundred independent authors publishing via Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing platform. It was fun and a super simple process but I never believed I could actually be one of those authors I saw connecting with their readers and with my own readers actually waiting for MY books. In fact, I had a lot of work ahead of me but I pushed forward. Fast-forward to this year and I finally have achieved one of my goals. This year alone, I have sold over five thousand ebooks on Amazon and connected with hundreds of my readers via email, Facebook messenger, and Twitter. The happiest moments of this experience have been messages from readers sharing with me how much they enjoyed my stories and how for some of them, the books had even helped them during difficult times in their lives. There is no value that I can put on these very personal exchanges. Without Amazon, this would not have been possible. As I look to the rest of the year, I have plans for two more novels, my first audiobook that I'm creating via ACX, and to continue to create a world that my readers love.
This is only possible due to Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing. I"m proud to be an Indie Author!
Just in time for Halloween, I have another awesome anthology to share with you!
Monster Maelstorm is a collection of super short flash fiction stories. Though I love writing fantasy, horror is a genre I enjoy to write as well. I was quite happy to have my Scandinavian myth inspired story as part of this collection! Do you know what a Huldra is? Check out the anthology and find out!
Map for locations seen in Seer of Lost Sands I wanted to share another review from DatBeardedBastard! Here is the direct link to his blog post. I invite you to head over and check it out. One thing I can point out is that he homed in on the inspiration for the events of Cyr. Between Gladiator and the Spartacus series from a few years ago, I cannot deny they both inspired events within this book. Anyone remember Spartucus versus Theokoles? This was the point in the series where Spartacus began fighting in the two-sword Dimachaerus style. No, I did not base Kealin off of this style but it was a rather pleasant surprise when Spartacus began slashing Romans with dual gladius'. Contrary to what you might've read in my books, I actually LIKE Roman-esque style cultures. But all of my Roman inspired characters tend to be on the wrong team or die... Make sure you check out that review and take a look at some of the other reviews. I think he just reviewed book two in Justin Sloan's Falls of Redemption Trilogy. You can actually get book one in his trilogy for FREE here: Land of Gods Now I really want to watch Spartacus again... but I need to book four. Priorities first! If interested: you can check out the Spartacus series here. I recommend it.
Do you like flash fiction? This multi-genre flash fiction anthology is free on all retailers and includes two of my own short stories. There is a varied mix of Urban Fantasy, Science Fiction, and many others.
From the official blurb: From a creepypasta horror farm to a bullish love tale and from the bloody metal deck of the ESS Arclight to superhero octopus food trucks, you can transform your shortest stolen moments into utter delights with this diverse collection of 33 flash fiction stories You can get it free on Amazon or head here to find links to all major retailers! Feel free to share this as you see fit! You just might find a new author to add to your collection! |
