Okay, okay, I know that not everyone likes history but this is important stuff! Now that I have two series out in the same fantasy world, I wanted to put some things in perspective. First, see the graphic below: So this is not super specific date wise but obviously shows how my different books correlate to important historical events in my fantasy lore/ history. The main key here is that Half-Elf Chronicles is set well before (by a few hundred years) the events of Saints of Wura 1-3.
I understand how this may be confusing considering that in Half-Elf Chronicles there is a very familiar character to those that have read Arcane Awakening, well remember, elves can live essentially forever. (and Dwemhar CAN technically live as long just not within the physical body. Typical life spans: Elves: eternal. This is self-explanatory. Although, they are much more sensitive to detrimental events that strike the entire world. (i.e. plaques) Dwarves: 600-800 years. Rusis: 200 years but many lived longer by alchemical devices and potions. Dwemhar: This is Half-Elf Chronicles territory here. The big piece of lore here is that some of the Dwemhar did not die out but did leave the normal realm. Dwemhar have a unique ability of ascending so even apparent death may not be such a simple end... Not really any spoilers here but when my Saints of Wura Boxset releases in May I will have bonus content that goes into a bit more detail. Check out my author page on Amazon for that preorder. :) |
